Orange County Water Safety Challenge
Saturday, May 11, 2024
Thank you to all who made the 2023 Water Safety Challenge a HUGE Success!
Many people joined our community leaders in Orange County by supporting drowning prevention and water safety education at our 2023 event. Children, parents, and family members participated in a series of water safety education stations, and the challenge were hosted by local volunteers who engaged in safety activities and demonstrations. In addition, participants joined community partner groups to learn CPR and other safety tips to keep their families safer around water.
The Water Safety Challenge was a fun, interactive, and comprehensive water safety day designed to teach children and parents important water safety skills: how to do a safe water rescue, how to properly use life vests, and how to swim to the side. Participating also helps parents identify their child’s particular strengths and weaknesses in the pool.
